April update

From President Rau
Youth Conference Preparation (April 8).
Study Jacob 1:7; Omni 1:26; Moroni 10:32 and ponder what it means to come unto Christ. In Gospel Library  create a Tag called "Christ-Centered Scriptures" and tag each of these scriptures. Share what you learn with a family member or a friend. You may want to listen to the song https://www.lds.org/youth/video/come-unto-christ-2014-theme-song?lang=eng and reflect on why you should "come unto Christ."

The Young Women enjoyed  a great afternoon at the temple in March and the Beehives go to the temple every Wednesday to do baptisms right after school.  What an example the Young Women. As leaders, we appreciate and love them so much!

Ministering to Replace Home and Visiting Teaching

Replacing home teaching and visiting teaching is new coordinated effort called “ministering,” in which members focus on serving and loving each other the way the Savior did.

Involve youth
Sister Bingham explained that ministering may include Laurels and Mia Maids as companions to Relief Society sisters, and priests and teachers continue to serve as ministering companions to Melchizedek Priesthood holders.
“Youth can share their unique gifts and grow spiritually as they serve alongside adults in the work of salvation,” she said. Involving youth also increases the number of members caring for others, and helps the youth “better prepare to fulfill their roles as leaders in the Church and community and as contributing partners in their families.”
